Dr. James St. Clair and Dr. C.C. Massey are committed to excellence in all things, especially when it comes to your smile. We believe that our impact is much more than just our “signature smile”; we love helping people find the smile within themselves. We do this by striving to exceed each patient’s expectations throughout treatment. We care for the individual behind the smile, and in doing so, we help patients increase their self-worth and confidence along the way.
In the past 43 years, our practice has seen multiple generations of families. We’ve built a reputation for being involved with the community, being leaders in the community, and having fun both in and out of the office.

Meet Our Doctors
Dr. James St. Clair is not only committed to clinical excellence, but he is passionate about creating a fun, caring environment that will help all patients feel loved and encouraged to be their best. He feels that clinical excellence is the foundation that this practice is built upon, but a patient will experience much more than orthodontic care at St. Clair and Massey Orthodontics. Dr. James is a native West Texan, graduating as salutatorian from Morton High School in 1989. Having attended both Texas Tech University and McMurry University, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. James’ Doctor of Dental Surgery degree was awarded from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 1997. He graduated with honors, completing his orthodontic residency at the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch, where he earned a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science degree in 1999.
Dr. James’ research on orthodontic enamel bonding received the Scientific Table Clinic award at the Star of the South Dental Meeting in Houston, Texas. He also received the Wick Alexander research award for his master’s thesis research project. This is the top research award bestowed by the University of Texas orthodontic department.
Dr. James is an active member of several national professional organizations including the American Association of Orthodontists, Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and the American Dental Association. He has served on several professional committees and offices including the New Member Development Committee of the Southwest Society of Orthodontists, and has served all offices of the South Plains District Dental Society, including as president from 2006 to 2007. His peers recognized him with the "Texas Super Dentist" award in 2004 and from 2006 to 2012, published in the November issue each year of Texas Monthly magazine.
Dr. James loves to teach. Since 2003, he has been teaching graduate orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics as associate clinical professor at the University of Texas Dental School in Houston. He also enjoys educating elementary students in Lubbock and the surrounding area schools about the importance of dental hygiene.
Dr. James is passionate about serving people. He not only serves people in the office with clinical excellence and a tender touch, but outside of the office in his church, community involvement with the Texas Mission of Mercy, local missions work, and coaching girls basketball.
Dr. James and his family came to Lubbock in the summer of 1999 to join the family practice. He and his wife, Shanna, have been married for over 20 years and are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters, Madeleine, Emily, and Abigail. When he’s not in the office, Dr. James is crazy about spending time with his family. He can often be found with them at fine arts events, watching his children play sports, or even camping or at the lake with his family.

Hi! I’m Laura and I love seeing smile transformations in the clinic at SCMO! I am married to Wes and have two rescue pups Ruby and Yuki. I enjoy watching all sports and spending time with my family.
Alison has been at SCMO for over 6 years and enjoys being a part of the impactful work we do ! She has a mini Australian shepherd and two boys that keep her busy playing, swimming, and attending baseball, soccer and basketball games with her husband.

My name is Marissa and I'm one of the Financial Coordinators here at St. Clair and Massey Orthodontics :) I began my journey with the SCMO in October of 2017 as a Scheduling Coordinator.
I have two wonderful daughters that I absolutely adore!!
Hello! My name is Cindy and I've been with the St. Clair and Massey Family for about three years. It is such a fun place to work. I love seeing all the smiling faces and hearing the people around me laugh while they're having a good time at work.

Hey, y'all! I'm Lesley, and I am the Marketing & Engagement Coordinator at St. Clair and Massey. Basically, I have the most fun job on the planet!
I'm originally from Austin, I'm a proud Texas A&M Aggie, and have lived in Lubbock since 2007. I'm married to Chad, and we have two awesome kiddos, Ezra and Ivy. We LOVE to travel as a family and are always planning our next trip.
Fun fact: I have over 30 chickens, but I hate eggs.

When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my 9 year old son, and our princess puppy Sophie. I love to travel, go to amusement parks, be outdoors (fishing and camping) and bible journal.

I am Coren, married to the greatest man, we have three precious children and two pups. I have been apart of SCMO since I was a little girl (as a patient) and have had the honor of working here (in multiple areas of the office) as an adult! I am a Treatment Coordinator for SCMO. I attended Texas Tech University where I studied Human Development and Family Studies. In my free time, I enjoy watching Hudson play sports, swimming and spending free time with friends and family.
I am a mom of four, and I have been married to my husband Ryan for 7 years. I am originally from Austin TX and moved to Lubbock 5 years ago. I am happy to say I have officially made the transition from a longhorn to a proud Texas Raider. Go Tech!
